Our model enables us to revolutionize your experience with the immigration process by submitting applications the same-day.
On February 22, 2021 the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced the return to the 2008 version of the naturalization civics test. This test will beginning on March 1, 2021. The civics test is given to applicants who apply for U.S. citizenship through naturalization and is one of the statutory requirements. Applicants must demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of the history and form of government of the United States.
Back in December of 2020, USCIS had implemented a revised naturalization civics test as part of a test review and update process. The 2020 Civics test requires the applicant to study 128 questions
about American government and history. Applicants must answer 12 of the 20 questions correctly to pass the test. All questions are asked orally. The 2008 Civics test is given by a USCIS officer. The
offices will ask the applicant up to 10 questions from the list of 100 questions. The applicant must answer 6 questions correctly to pass the 2008 version of the civics test.
Applicants who filed their application for naturalization on or after December 1, 2020 and before March 1, 2021 will be given the option to take either the 2020 civics test or the 2008 civics test.
There will be a transition period where both tests will be offered.
